I Hate Technology
Today was just a pretty bad day in general, but especially in technological aspects. It all started with a headband that I borrowed from my sister without her permission. Probably not a great idea, but she was at camp and I love her brown floral headband so I wore it to camp the other day. When I was done, I threw it in my camp bag, piled other crap over it, and let it there for a week without giving it any thought. Today I hear my mom scream from the living room where she was cleaning out my camp bad, “Sarah! Why is your sister’s headband broken in two pieces? Since you didn’t tell me this right away, you have to give me $10 right now and on top of that, you will also be buying you sister another headband.” Needless to say my mother is very strict. She also believes that punishing your children by taking away their money teaches valuable lessons.
“Mom relax. It’s just a headband.” This is when things got worse.
She flipped out crying and screaming about how she was looking for the headband all week, how it’s my sisters only (she has about 50 headbands) headband that she can wear to auditions, and how wants me to get her the exact same headband. For every day up until I get that same headband she is blocking an hour more (per day) that I can’t text on my phone. I cannot live without my phone! So right now I can’t text from 10pm-11pm and tomorrow I won’t be able to text from 10pm-12pm. Hopefully by then I will have bought another headband.
So I stomped upstairs to get my Macbook so I could search Amazon for headbands. Just my luck, I slip only to find my precious baby dented with the cover half broken off. This evening was spent on the phone with Apple Tech Support begging them to give the soonest appointment to fix my Mac. Did you know that a Macbook Pro cover can cost up to $600?
Well at least I have some motivation to lose weight and fit into last year’s jeans. I won’t have any money for clothes this year. :(
